Email us: contact@inra.app
We answer every message, usually within two working days. Tell us your phone number's country code and roughly when the problem happened — that is enough for us to find the scan.
Photograph the back of a packaged food. Inra reads the nutrition panel and the ingredient list, then explains in plain language what is in the pack and how it fits the dietary focus you chose — lower sugar, lower sodium, more fibre, heart, or balanced. Inra gives information. It is not medical advice and it does not diagnose, treat, or manage any condition.
Inra signs you in with your phone number and a one-time code by SMS. There is no password and no email account. If the code does not arrive, check the country code, wait a minute, and request it again. If it still does not arrive, email us the number and we will look at the delivery log.
Every new account gets 10 free reads, once — they are a lifetime allowance, not a monthly one. After that:
Prices are shown in your own currency inside the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you turn auto-renew off at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are cancelled through Apple, not through us:
You keep your reads until the end of the period you already paid for. You can also manage subscriptions at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
New phone, or reinstalled the app? Open Profile → your plan and tap Restore. Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase. A plan is held by one Inra account at a time; if you moved to a new phone number, buying again on the new number moves the plan across.
Apple handles all App Store purchases and refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something went wrong on our side — a read that failed, or reads that were charged but not delivered — email us first and we will put the reads back.
Open Profile → Delete account. This erases the link between you and your scan history, and deletes any label photos we were holding for you. It happens inside the app, immediately, and you do not need to contact us for it. One thing survives: a single count of how many free reads your phone number has already used, so the free allowance cannot be reset by deleting and re-creating an account. It holds nothing else about you. Ask us and we will erase that too.
By default a photo is deleted from our server as soon as it has been read. Only if you switch on Help improve Inra in your profile do we keep a copy, on our encrypted server in India, for up to 90 days, to check how accurately the app reads real packs. It is off unless you turn it on, and turning it off deletes the copies. See the Privacy Policy.
Labels are photographed at angles, under glare, on curved packs. If a number looks wrong, retake the photo square-on and close, with the whole panel in frame. If it is still wrong, email us — a wrong read is the most useful thing you can send us.
